Looking for something to do this month? Here are some ideas for December events to attend to get you in the holiday spirit.

In Georgetown

Although it might be an hour away, it’s worth it to look into the Christmas events in Georgetown. One is the Georgetown Christmas Market. This outdoor, European-style marketplace is free to get into. It offers horse-drawn rides, hot roasted chestnuts, holiday shopping, and carolers in victorian garb. Even St. Nicholas will be there! It will be held on the first two weekends of December (Dec. 3, 4, 10, & 11) from 10am to 5pm at 6th and Rose St., Georgetown, CO 80444.

In Denver

For another German-style market, look into visiting The Denver Christkindl Market for another “old world” themed village. Not only will there be food and beverage vendors (selling things like roasted nuts and soft pretzels), but also several places you can buy gifts and crafts. The event takes place through Dec. 23 from 11am to 7pm on Sundays through Thursdays, and from 11am to 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Location: 16th & Arapahoe, Denver, CO 80202
